Always fitted with safety glass
Safety glass is used in situations where there is a risk of falling through. Legislation requires the use of safety glass, these obligations are described in NEN 3569 and NEN 6702. Because we cannot assess the situation in which the frame is placed, we are not responsible for whether or not safety glass is used. We do recommend that glazed frames on the ground floor, such as sliding doors, be fitted with safety glass.
Safety glass 2-sided laminated HR++
With 2-sided laminated glass, both the inside and the outside consist of two panes of 3mm that are stuck together with a foil in between. If the NEN3569 applies to your work, you should use laminated injury-reducing glazing. We therefore use this glazing as standard for our doors and sliding doors, because there is a chance that you can fall against it from both the inside and the outside. This structure guarantees a U-value of 1.1.
