For aluminum sliding doors with the Reynaers CP130 frame profile, it is important that the frame is given the correct coating. Which treatment you can best apply depends on the location / environment. There are two choices here, namely coast/industry and standard .
Surface treatment
The difference between the two choices is in the surface treatment. The aluminum is provided with an oxide layer by means of anodising. This oxide layer seals the aluminum and makes the frame corrosion resistant. The pre-treatment is therefore very important for the protection of the aluminum and prevents corrosion.
If you opt for standard, we will apply an anodisation layer thickness of 20 mu. In the case of coastal or industrial areas, an additional anodisation layer of 25 mu in total is applied. A thicker layer provides more protection.
Coast/industry
If the aluminum frame is placed near the coast or near heavy industry, the material will receive a different treatment. It concerns the following locations:
- Up to 1 km from the coastline (due to salt)
- Up to 1 km from an industrial area with heavy industry (due to chemical emissions)
- Comes into direct contact with swimming water (due to chlorine)
