U-value frames and glass
On our website we regularly talk about you values, but what exactly is that? The U-value expresses the amount of heat that is transmitted over time per m² and per degree of temperature difference between one side and the other of a wall (or frame/glass). Below we explain exactly what we mean by this and we have made a handy overview, so that you can see the u-value of all our frames at a glance.
What is the u-value for frames?
When we talk about the insulation in a frame, we mean the different rooms and materials that are processed in the frame. These materials determine the insulation and ultimately also the u-value of a frame. There are different names, which we will explain below.
Ufr value / Uf value
The f stands for frame . This value indicates how good the insulation of the profile is.
Ug value
The g stands for glass . This therefore concerns the insulation value of the glass.
Up value
The p word stands for the insulation value of a panel .
Your value
The w stands for window . This is the value of the glass and the frame together. This is difficult for us to determine in advance, because we supply different sizes of frames. For this reason you will not find the Uw value on our website.
PSI value
The PSI value is the insulation value of the spacer in the glass. The spacer ensures temperature regulation. It is difficult to determine this value in advance, because we are dealing with frames with different dimensions.
U value of glass
At Toelevering Online we offer HR++ double glazing and HR+++ triple glazing. Below you can clearly see the Ug value of the HR++ and HR+++ glass.
