Maintenance advice aluminum frames

One of the great advantages of aluminum frames is that they are low maintenance: regular cleaning is sufficient. Read here what you should pay attention to when maintaining your aluminum frame.

Your aluminum window frame does not need major maintenance, but it does need a wipe now and then. When cleaning an aluminum frame, it is important that you only use lukewarm water. If you still want to use a cleaning agent, make sure you use a pH-neutral cleaning agent. In addition, do not use scouring pads or other abrasive or corrosive products, as this can damage the frame.

Do you live in a rural area? We recommend cleaning the window frame at least twice a year. In an urban environment, we recommend cleaning the aluminum frame at least four times a year.

Be careful with dark colors

Supply Online strongly advises against placing very dark aluminum frames and windows on South and West facades. The window frames are heavily loaded by sunlight and rain. If you opt for a dark finish, this naturally means more maintenance.
