Removing lifting loops
Our wooden frames are sometimes supplied with lifting loops on the side. These lifting loops are held in place quite tightly with staples, making them difficult to remove. In this blog you can read more about the lifting loops and we give you tips on how to remove the loops without damaging your window frame.
What are lifting loops?
Lifting loops are attached to the side of the wooden frames. Thanks to these loops, your frame can be transported safely and quickly through the factory during production, without damaging the frame. During installation, the loops actually no longer have any added value, which is why we explain below how best to remove the loops.
How do you remove the lifting loops?
You can choose to partially remove the lifting loops. Because the loops are very firmly attached, it is difficult to remove them completely. We therefore recommend cutting the loops off partially with a utility knife, as shown in the example below. The rest falls into the cavity during installation. After placing you will therefore not see anything of this again. In addition, it has no influence on the quality or placement of the frame.
